Lexi Wood has shared a heartfelt tribute to Presley Gerber following the model’s death at age 27.

Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on September 20 in Santa Monica, California. The Santa Monica Police Department said it was investigating the death as a suspected overdose. Authorities said there was no indication of foul play at the time.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified Gerber as the deceased person. His official cause and manner of death have not yet been finalised, with additional testing still required.

In her tribute, Wood focused less on their past relationship and more on the lasting friendship they shared.
She described Gerber as an important part of her life for many years and recalled the different stages of their relationship. According to Wood, friendship remained at the centre of their connection.

Presley Gerber’s Death Is Being Investigated
Gerber’s death was reported on September 20 after Santa Monica police responded to a possible overdose call.
According to the police department, officers arrived at the scene at about 9:35 a.m. and found an adult male deceased. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the person as Presley Gerber.
Police are investigating the death as a suspected overdose. However, that is not the same as an officially established cause of death.
The medical examiner’s investigation will determine the official cause and manner of death after the remaining testing is completed.
Gerber Had Spoken Openly About Mental Health
Mental health was an important part of Gerber’s public conversations in recent years.
He launched a social media series called “Mental Health Mondays”, using his platform to discuss personal experiences and encourage more open conversations about mental health.
In 2023, Gerber spoke about his journey and expressed hope that people could learn from one another while pursuing greater happiness and well-being.
He later stepped away from social media before returning in 2025. At the time, he explained that he had taken a break to focus on his mental health and said he wanted to continue the conversations he had started through his online series.
