Chase Stokes Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors and Sets the Record Straight
Chase Stokes’ plastic surgery rumours have followed the Outer Banks star for years. Now, the actor is directly addressing the speculation about his appearance.
During a September 1 episode of the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast, Stokes was asked about the most ridiculous rumour he had seen about himself online. His answer was the amount of plastic surgery people claim he has had.
The 33-year-old actor firmly denied undergoing facial cosmetic procedures. He also said he finds it particularly strange that some people identifying themselves as doctors have analysed his appearance online.
Chase Stokes Responds to Plastic Surgery Speculation
Stokes addressed the rumours while speaking with podcast host Tommy DiDario.
According to a clip shared with PEOPLE, the actor said he has seen social media users speculate about procedures such as an upper blepharoplasty and lip work. He was especially surprised when some of those assessments came from people presenting themselves as medical professionals.
Stokes made his own position clear: he says he has never had work done on his face.
Rather than becoming angry about every comment, however, the actor said he has learned that responding can sometimes make online rumours spread even further.
Why Chase Stokes Stopped Engaging With Online Rumors
Stokes acknowledged that he once paid more attention to comments about his appearance.
His approach has changed.
He explained that engaging with speculation can give the claims additional visibility. Because of that, he now prefers to stay quiet instead of arguing with people in comment sections.
That decision reflects a broader challenge for actors who live under constant public scrutiny. Changes in appearance can quickly become the subject of online theories, even when there is no confirmation behind them.
In Stokes’ case, the recent podcast appearance gave him an opportunity to address the speculation himself rather than allowing social media discussions to speak for him.
His Appearance Has Also Changed Since Outer Banks
The plastic surgery discussion comes shortly after Stokes opened up about another reason his appearance and physique have changed.
The fifth and final season of Outer Banks arrived on Netflix on August 20, bringing his run as John B. Routledge to an end after five seasons.
In an August 26 interview with Men’s Health, Stokes discussed how his diet and training changed while playing the teenage character.
He said that during Outer Banks, he used intermittent fasting and drank large amounts of water as part of his effort to maintain John B.’s lean physique.
After the series ended, his fitness routine changed as well.
Stokes said his workouts now involve heavier compound movements, including squats, deadlifts, cleans and Bulgarian split squats. He also described incorporating more substantial meals and protein into his daily routine.
That information provides a documented explanation for at least some of the physical changes fans may have noticed: his training and nutrition have evolved as his role has changed.
Chase Stokes Is Moving Into a New Chapter
For Stokes, the end of Outer Banks represents more than simply finishing a television series.
He spent years portraying John B., a character significantly younger than his actual age. Now, the actor is looking toward roles and projects that better reflect where he is in his career.
His recent interviews show that transition from several angles. He has discussed his changing fitness routine, his experiences with fame and the pressure surrounding his appearance.
At the same time, his response to plastic surgery rumours is straightforward: he says he has not undergone facial work.
For now, Stokes appears more interested in focusing on his career and personal routine than trying to correct every theory circulating online.
What Did Chase Stokes Actually Say About Plastic Surgery?
Stokes said he has never had work done on his face, directly rejecting online claims about procedures such as an upper blepharoplasty and lip enhancements.
It is important to distinguish between verified statements and social media speculation. There is no basis for presenting online analysis of a celebrity’s appearance as proof of a cosmetic procedure.
Stokes himself has now provided his position on the matter, making his denial the clearest available account of the rumours.
