Debi Mazar’s Entourage Claims Draw Strong Response From Creator Doug Ellin

Debi Mazar’s recent comments about her experience on the set of Entourage have sparked a public response from series creator Doug Ellin.

Mazar, who played publicist Shauna Roberts on the HBO series, recently reflected on the show’s workplace culture and said it became increasingly difficult for her as the series progressed.

Doug Ellin Denies Mazar Was Body-Shamed

Ellin responded publicly on X on September 1.

The Entourage creator strongly disputed Mazar’s characterisation of what happened behind the scenes. He said he never discussed her body and rejected the suggestion that people who mattered in the production were concerned about her appearance.

Ellin also said he would have supported a woman becoming pregnant.

Ellin Admits He Commented on Two Male Actors’ Physiques

While denying that Mazar’s body was a subject of discussion, Ellin acknowledged that he did comment on the physiques of two male cast members.

He said he wanted Adrian Grenier, who played Vincent Chase, to appear more muscular.

Ellin also recalled wanting Jerry Ferrara, who portrayed Turtle, to be heavier.

Looking back, however, Ellin said he regrets his comments about Ferrara’s weight because he did not understand the potential health implications at the time.

He added that he is now happy with Ferrara’s transformation.
