While speaking with PEOPLE at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Aug. 14, 2026, Bettany recalled that cab drivers sometimes recognise him from his nude scene in the 2001 mediaeval comedy A Knight’s Tale.
The actor, now 55, joked that people occasionally call out to him from passing taxis and identify him simply as “the naked guy”. His comments highlight just how memorable the early-career role remains more than two decades later.
